This 7.5′ long chandelier is made out of re-fused bottles and jars. Aside from the thrill of using recycled glass, the idea was to use with material that was not (necessarily) designed for fusing, and because of that doesn’t melt as easily as fusible glass, hence even when fired to high temperature, the pieces still have definition of originals shards that went into them. All these points and edges are increasing the sparkli-ness of the whole thing.

Working with non-fusible glass presented its own challenges. Glass from different objects couldn’t be mixed, so glass from each jar and bottle had to be fused only with itself. The outcome, however, was well worth the effort, looking like the frozen cascade of ice, the chandelier makes the grand statement both during the day and at night.
